Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair Customers Reportedly Having Issues

Earlier this week, Wizards of the Coast launched the Magic: The Gathering Secret Lair drop series, collectible sets that group cards with fantastic themes and wild new art styles, and you can still order one of the seven Secret Lairs right now. However, it looks like some buyers experienced some technical issues when trying to order, with some reporting that they haven't received any confirmation about their purchases while others outside of the United States are disappointed with the high shipping costs.

Some people have shared their order issues on Reddit. One customer named Joshua claims that his orders were double-charged, and he can't get a refund. Joshua notes that this happened after the technical issues on Monday involving repeated page refreshing during the order placement process.

Another Redditor said that he completed his order for the Bitterblossom Dreams Secret Lair, and got a confimation saying "Congratulations, your order is confirmed! However, there's not enough inventory for at least one item in your cart," and he said that that was the only item in his card. He went on to say that he didn't get an email confirmation about it. Other users also were wondering why they haven't received a confirmation in their emails.

Several customers are also reporting that they can't download the digital MTG Arena sleeves included in the Bitterblossom DreamsSecret Lair.

WotC recently acknowledged the problem on Twitter, and said that they're investigating reports of players not receiving their codes. They assured that those who received a confirmation email will be receiving a code.

There are also customers who complained about the surprisingly high shipping and custom fees. One Redditor said that the price of his order almost doubled because of the fees. "Was hyped to get myself a Bitterblossom Dreams and a Kaleidoscope killers set for my EDH decks," Redditor Doherty98 wrote. "Just added Bitterblossom dreams to my basket and in checkout the price said $55.19 instead of the advertised $29.99, I checked and apparently shipping + fees nearly doubled the price of the product. I'm normally fine paying delivery (The EU cardmarket usually has relatively high shipping costs) but doubling the price is too much."

Another user on Twitter had a similar complaint:

Secret Lair is now available on the official sales page but note that the $200 bundle that includes all seven Secret Lairs is already not available.
