Magic: The Gathering Pro Joel Larsson Defeats Kanister With His Homebrew at Players Tour Brussels


Swedish Magic: The Gathering professional player Joel Larsson has won Players Tour Brussels on Sunday with his homebrewed Sultai Delirium deck (a.k.a. Swedish Sultai), defeating Magic Pro League member Piotr Glogowski (a.k.a. Kanister) on Blue/Black Inverter of Truth 2-1 in the finals.

Larsson had to fight his way through diverse Pioneer decks in the Top 8 bracket. MPL members Glogowski and Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa (Niv to Light) joined him in the top 8, as well as Juan Jose Rodriguez Lopez (Mono-Red Aggro), Mattia Rizzi (Bant Spirits), Brent Vos (Lotus Breach), Zhiyang Zhang (Mono-Black Aggro), and Valerio Luminati (Bant Spirits).

Best known for winning Pro Tour Magic Origins in 2015, Larsson was also the runner-up at Pro Tour Gatecrash in 2013, and has eight total Grand Prix top 8 finishes.
