Wizards of the Coast

Magic: The Gathering had a great year in 2018 and we already know that Wizards of the Coast are making some big moves for the popular trading card game in 2019. Now, Magic Head Designer Mark Rosewater has shared his thoughts about the suite of Magic products coming next year, and that should give you another reason to be more excited for the game.

Over on Twitter, Rosewater described his high level of excitement for Magic products for next year.

"In my twenty-three years working on the game, I have never been more excited for a suite of Magic products than I am for 2019," Rosewater tweeted. "Magic fans are in for an amazing year!"

So far, Wizards of the Coast have only revealed that Ravnica Allegiance and another Ravnica set will be released in the first quarter of 2019 but we still don't know that set and the other products they're planning to release next year. Rosewater rarely expresses his excitement for upcoming Magic products so his latest tweet is an indication that good things are coming for Magic players in 2019.

Magic: The Gathering fans already have many reasons to get excited for 2019. In addition to Ravnica Allegiance and other Magic products coming next year, the trading card game is also entering the esports business in a big way.

Pre-release events for Ravnica Allegiance will take place on January 19, 2019; the set will officially be released on January 25.
