Magic: The Gathering Commander Nights Are Coming to Game Stores This April

2020 is a great year for Magic: The Gathering Commander players. Not only is Wizards of the Coast releasing a bunch of new Commander products this year such as the Commander (2020 Edition) decks, the Zendikar Rising Commander decks, and Commander Legends, the company is also launching the first-ever official league for Magic's most popular multiplayer format: Commander Nights!

On its Wizards Play Network website, WotC has shared the details of the Commander Nights, an official weekly Commander league that will run from April 27 to June 18, 2020. In the league, players will compete in pods of three to five, "building decks around novel rules and checking off fourteen special achievements" that are curated by Magic's studio design.

The achievement list will be a challenge to complete, and it's aimed to incentivize creative deckbuilding. This will give players other goals other than to just simply win the game. Players who reach a certain amount of achievements will be rewarded with a prize such as a promo pack or any other MTG related item depending on what the local game store decides.
