Magic: The Gathering - Chandra - The Trials of Alara Comic Cancelled Before Publication

Last May, IDW announced a new Magic: The Gathering comic book series called Magic: The Gathering - Chandra - Trials of Alara, by James Asmus and Eric Coda. The comic series was focused on Chandra and was meant to be a follow-up to the Magic: The Gathering - Chandra series, but it was just cancelled recently, Bleeding Cool reports.

Magic: The Gathering - Chandra - Trials of Alara was intended for publication on August, but the first issue nor the second weren't published. Then was delayed until October but now all four solicited issues and the intended collection will no longer be published.

You can check out the officlal descriptions for each issue below:

It's unclear why IDW cancelled the comic book series since the report by Bleeding Cool didn't mention any specific reasons. I was looking forward to reading this series but oh well. I hope Wizards of the Coast and another comic book company will team-up to launch a new comic book series in the near future.
