Magic: The Gathering Arena's top competitors will compete for Mythic Points and invitation to the first Invitational of the season in the final Mythic Qualifier for Mythic Invitational Ikoria this Saturday, March 14.
Wizards of the Coast has announced the details of the MTG Arena tournament. Starting on Thursday, March 12, those who are qualified to play at the Mythic Qualifier event will see the event in MTG Arena's client. In addition to the Rivals League, the top 1,200 Mythic-ranked players in either Constructed or Limited from the February 2020 Ranked Season will compete for Mythic Points and an invitation to Mythic Invitational Ikoria this May.
Just like the the Mythic Point Challenge last month, the Mythic Qualifier will be best-of-three Standard, with up to 15 card sideboards available. Same decks will be used throughout the tournament, so players are not able to switch decks between matches.
In addition to gems (premium game currency), the more wins players get, the more Mythic Points they earn in the tournament. Players would need to get at least 5 match wins to get at least 1 Mythic Point, and here's how Mythic Points are awarded:
Earning Mythic Points will help players qualify for the upcoming Mythic Invitational Ikoria this May, and they also contribute to their 2020 partial season standings.
MTG Arena streamers and other players will share their Mythic Qualifier journey under the MTG Arena game section on Twitch. Some of them may also produce additional recorded content on their YouTube channels after the event.
To qualify for the next MTG Arena qualifier, you need to make it to the top 1,200 Mythic ranks in the current March 2020 Ranked Season.
Mythic Invitational Ikoria will take place May 14-17, 2020.
