Magic: The Gathering 2020 Mythic Invitational Top 8 Coverage Delayed

The Top 8 Magic: The Gathering players of the 2020 Mythic Invitational were scheduled to compete today, but fans will have to wait longer before they get to watch the final matches of the $250,000 MTG Arena tournament.

Wizards of the Coast has announced that today's broadcast of the Mythic Invitational will not be moving forward as scheduled due to issues in sending signal from their main show switch to transmission that are preventing them from broadcasting the event live.

WotC went on to explain that they've already pre-recorded matches, and the videos will be available for viewing at a later time.

This is such a bummer for an exciting Top 8 in one of the biggest Magic tournaments this year.

Here are the Top 8 players and the Historic decks they played:

As you can see, there's only one Mono-Red Goblin player, Ken Yukuhiro; I'm not a big fan of Goblin decks, but I'm a huge fan of Yukuhiro, so I hope he wins it all. There's no single white card in the Top 8, and it's mostly Sacrifice-based decks with Luis Salvatto playing Rakdos Arcanist and Seth Manfield playing Sultai Midrange.

The 2020 Mythic Invitational takes place at 11 am CT on September 10 to 13.
