Magic: The Gathering & Pokemon Cards Stolen From Minnesota Game Store

A thief broke into a game store called Outpost 2000 & Beyond in Blaine, Minnesota, and stole graded Pokemon cards and Magic: The Gathering cards including Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition land cards. The official Facebook page of the store shared the news with photos revealing damage in the store.

Check out the photos here:

The Secret Lair: Ultimate Edition, which was released for a limited time by Wizards of the Coast earlier this year, is currently selling for over $200. The store didn't reveal the total value of the cards stolen, but it's probably worth thousands.

Last year, long-time Magic: The Gathering collector Anthony Avitollo shared some advice for local game stores and collectors to protect their valuables:

1) Buy a gun non-transportable safe resistant from fire and water damage
2) Don't leave your cards in a car, not even in the trunk.
3) Document every MTG purchases, keep track of your buy history, take screenshots of online purchases. Online inventory is not enough.
4) Take photos of your collections.

If you know anyone trying to sell a large lot from the Minnesota area, please contact the store or Blaine police.
