Magic: Legends Reveals New Pyromancer Class

Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios have revealed the Pyromancer class for Magic: Legends, the new ARPG set in the Multiverse of Magic: The Gathering. This is the game's second new class introduced since the beginning of the Open Beta last March, and it will be released on May 20, 2021.

The new Pyromancer class lets you deal ample damage upfront in addition to lasting damage-over-time - with some mobility if the odds become overwhelming. This class reminds us of the pyromancer Planeswalker, Chandra Nalaar. You can watch the full overview of the Pyromancer's skillset in the video from Design Lead Adam Heteyni below:

The Pyromancer class follows the game's Dimir Assassin class introduced in an update last month. The new class will be availablein the ‘Classes & Packs' tab on the in-game ZEN Store for free from May 20 until May 24 at 10AM Pacific. Once you claim the Pyromancer from the ZEN store, the new class and its costume components will both be unlocked in your loadout menu.

After this limited time window to claim the new class, components of the Pyromancer kit will be added to early levels on the free track of the current (and every subsequent) Battlepass for Magic: Legends. The Pyromancer's starter deck will be unlocked at Battlepass Level 1, the Class itself unlocked at BP Level 3, and the Pyromancer's costume set unlocked at BP Level 7.

Once you reach class level 30, you will be able to unlock the Pyromancer's signature trait - Finale of Flames, which causes any enemy affected by a damage over time effect to explode when defeated, dealing damage to other nearby enemies. Finale of Flames can be used in any class loadout once unlocked.
