Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is a fantasy-adventure manga by Shinobu Ohtaka. It was released in Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2009 and can be collected in 37 tankobon volumes. Viz Media has the license to release an English version of the manga in North America.
A-1 Pictures decided to adapt the manga into an anime in 2012. It was immediately followed by the second season in 2013. Both the manga and the anime were well-loved by fans. In fact, the manga was able to sell more than 25 million copies by 2018. Fans of the series are now wondering when is the third season coming out if ever there will be one.

There is no official announcement from A-1 Pictures or Shinobu Ohtaka regarding the renewal of Magi season 3. The NU Herald announced in June 2021 that season 3 has been confirmed and is set to be released in October the same year but until now, there are no updates from the studio or creator.
There could be a lot of factors to consider in the delay of the series like the ongoing pandemic. Fans will have to stay tuned to know if Magi Season 3 can be pushed through this year or the wait will be longer for the viewers.
