The Rise of Skywalker Actress Being Eyed for Young Furiosa in Mad Max: Furiosa

There are a lot of things to love about Mad Max: Fury Road, and one of the breakout characters is Imperator Furiosa played by Charlize Theron. What's interesting is, a prequel is said to be in the works, and the movie is looking at a Rise of Skywalker star to be the lead.

According to The GWW, Jodie Comer is being eyed to play a young Furiosa for Mad Max: Furiosa. Comer is probably best known for her role in Killing Eve, but she had also played the part of Rey's mother in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Nothing has been set in stone for now, but at least we know that Comer is being considered.

If anything, a lot of people say that Furiosa basically stole the movie from Tom Hardy's Max, and she undoubtedly went through the character transformation that the main protagonist was supposed to go through. We know that Furiosa is tough as nails when we meet her, so it would be great to see just how she found herself aligned with the likes of a villain like Immortan Joe.

We don't know when this prequel is set to come out, but fans have been waiting a while for George Miller's follow-up to Fury Road. Though the film was a success, some legal troubles had lead to the delay of the sequel. Hopefully, now Miller has smoothed things out, and fans are now ready for a comeback to his dystopian wasteland.

We have not gotten a release date for the prequel Mad Max: Furiosa.
