Mad Max Actress Would Love To Play Poison Ivy For The DCEU

Wonder Woman has paved the way for more female heroes in comic book movies, and Suicide Squad director David Ayer is said to be working on a script for the all-female ensemble movie, Gotham City Sirens. We haven't been getting any updates on the official cast, but a lot of fans have been throwing in names for who should play their favorite Gotham gals. Mad Max: Fury Road actress Riley Keough has been asked to pick between Batgirl and Poison Ivy, and she's made her choice:

In Mad Max Keough played one of Immortan Joe's wives, Capable, and I'm not surprised that someone would want to cast her in the DCEU. Keough is undoubtedly very attractive, and with her being a redhead, she would do great as either Barbara Gordon or Pamela Isley.

Personally my own fan casting for Ivy would be Mad Men's Christina Hendricks. Sure she's not as skinny as the conventional femme fatale, but she can be the ultimate seductress when she can. Plus, I think her figure would give Ivy a more "Mother Earth" feel.

Gotham City Sirens has not been announced in the DCEU's current slate of upcoming films, but Ayer has confirmed that he's indeed working on a script. It's only a matter of time before we get an official announcement.

No official release date has been announced for Gotham City Sirens.
