Another great Lycoris Recoil episode graced viewers last Saturday. While the first episode was a definite hit, episode 2 was a good sign the show is only going to be more exciting from here on out. Wondering what could happen next? We have the latest on Lycoris Recoil episode 3's release date and time, plus a neat countdown at the end!

Lycoris Recoil: What's It All About?

Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue are as far apart from each other in terms of personality and demeanor. Where Chisato is perky and easy-going, Takina is quiet and stern.

The two girls make up a bigger underground network of young female assassins called "Lycoris," who work under an organization called DA to stealthily keep the peace in Japan.

After ignoring orders from HQ during a recent mission and choosing instead to act quickly (and without thinking too far ahead), Takina was ordered to be reassigned at downtown Tokyo's Cafe LycoReco, which doubles as a substation of DA.

Cafe LycoReco is where Chisato is currently assigned. By becoming partners with her, Takina is supposed to learn lots of things. After all, she is known as the strongest Lycoris.

But with Chisato's bubbly nature and no-kill policy, will Takina ever learn enough to earn her reinstatement at HQ? We can't wait to find out!

Episode 2 gave viewers a more detailed look into the apparent villain, Yoshi, who owns the charitable Alan Institute, and is a regular at the cafe. This was made no secret even from the very first episode, but it doesn't seem like the girls know about Mr. Yoshi's veiled intentions yet.

Walnut, the deep web-famous master hacker that Yoshi connived with and then attempted to kill in episode 1, turned out to be a young girl named Kurumi.

After Cafe LycoReco succeeded in their mission of making Yoshi think Walnut is dead, Kurumi decides to live at the cafe for free. In exchange, Mika, Mizuki, Chisato, and Takina now have a highly skilled hacker in their arsenal.

It'll be interesting to see how things will turn out given that Yoshi knows about the Lycoris. Fans have pretty logical speculations too about the spider lilies (anime's famous death flower) and DA's sinister vibes. Isn't Yoshi's villain introduction a little too convenient?

Since LycoReco is an original anime, nobody really knows. Episode 3 couldn't come any sooner!
