House of Cards and Luke Cage actor Mahershala Ali is in talks to play a villain once again in the live-action adaptation of Alita: Battle Angel.
As THR reports: Ali would portray Vector, a man who rigs Motorball combat matches, in the live-action version of the popular manga written by Yukito Kushiro
Ali recently played Cottonmouth, the villain in Marvel and Netflix's Luke Cage.
Ali wouldn't be the first Marvel villain to join this cyberpunk film. Last month, Deadpool villain Ed Skrein was cast as the cyborg Zapan in the film.
The manga-inspired film will be directed Sin City filmmaker Robert Rodriguez.
Production is expected to startthis month in Austin, Texas. Alita: Battle Angel is will hit theaters on July 20, 2018.
