Marvel fans might be waiting for Hulu or Disney+ to pick up Marvel TV's canceled Netflix series, but with the specific clause in the streaming giant's contract with Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher and Jessica Jones prohibiting the shows from migrating until two years after their cancellation, there might be a bit of a delay in the series' revival. While waiting, it seems like Luke Cage star Mike Colter has found a new series to star in.
According to TV Line, Colter has been tapped to star in CBS' upcoming supernatural drama pilot, Evil. Set to air this fall, Evil is a series being developed by Robert and Michelle King, the co-creators of The Good Wife. Not only will the directorial duo run the series, but the Kings are also going to serve as Evil's writers and executive producers.
Evil's story is set to focus on two different characters – one skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest in training and a contractor to form a team that investigates the supernatural phenomenon including demonic possessions, unexplained occurrences, and so-called miracles.
Colter is set to play the role of the David DaCosta, the priest in training assigned by the church to deal with supernatural cases. Meanwhile, Westworld actress Katja Herbers is set to play the part of the clinical psychologist.
Coming after Luke Cage and The Good Wife, this new role in Evil adds a whole lot of variation to Colter's career.
The pilot for Evil is set for release this fall.
