Despite all the frustrating production and scheduling delays the entire Entertainment industry has been experiencing over the last couple of months due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we still have some good news for all of you Netflix fans. One of the showrunners of the hit DC series Lucifer has confirmed that filming has begun for Season 6. Yup! In case you weren't aware, Lucifer has been renewed for its sixth season a few months back which is great as a lot of fans have totally been invested with the show.

Co-showrunner Joe Henderson revealed the exciting news on Twitter, sharing that they've already wrapped up work on Season 5 and have begun filming for the upcoming Season 6. He wrote: "Today is our first day of shooting #Lucifer season 6! So happy we've finished up season 5, and we will be working our buns off to get it finished and to Netflix! Thanks to our incredible cast and crew for working hard and safe and delivering a kickass finale!!"

Now, that's excellent news for avid followers of the show inspired by the iconic DC character Lucifer Morningstar. Luci-fans were equally stunned and delighted upon learning last July that the show will continue to run after it was first believed that Season 5 would see the end of the beloved series headlined by Tom Ellis and Lauren German. I guess the powers that be truly know what we mortals want, or, excuse me, "desire" and that is more of the charismatic and devious Lucifer. Hey, if it still works, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't continue Lucifer's exploits on Earth.

Lucifer Season 5's first half is currently streaming on Netflix.
