Lucifer Season 6 Possibly Happening as Tom Ellis Signs New Netflix Deal

It looks like Lucifer Season 6 will be more than just something that fans are dreaming of. A new report has confirmed that Tom Ellis has finally renewed his contract with Netflix and will be signing on to work on yet another season of the beloved series.

The confirmation comes from TVLine, which reveals that Ellis has "finalized a new deal" with Netflix. The contract will call on the actor to continue playing the titular character in Lucifer Season 6.

It was previously reported that co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have already signed their own contracts to continue working on Lucifer. The only thing we're missing now is an official announcement from Netflix, which should be happening within the next few days.

But what can people expect in Lucifer Season 6? There are several speculations that the series was actually renewed because of Ellis' cameo in the Arrowverse crossover event Crisis on Infinite Earths. Some believe that the new season might even bring in Matt Ryan as Constantine to explore the character's storyline and connection to Lucifer Morningstar. However, this has not yet been confirmed so it's best to take it with a grain of salt.

Lucifer has already been saved from cancellation several times. It was previously axed by Fox before being picked up by Netflix for a fourth season. Although it was already announced that Season 5 would be the last one for the series, the streaming giant may have realized that the show has a lot of potentials.

The fifth season of Lucifer is expected to air on Netflix later this year.
