Lucifer Season 5 Plot Details Confirm Hilarious Show-Within-The-Show Storyline


There is much excitement for the fifth season of Lucifer and it looks like things are going to be interesting in the next chapter of the Netflix series. New plot details from Season 5 have confirmed that there will be a hilarious storyline involving a fictional show set in the show's own universe.

The news comes from TVLine, which confirms that Episode 3 will follow "a murder on the set of a Warner Bros. TV show about a devilish hunk and his police detective paramour." The episode, which is titled ¡Diablo!, is also described as "the funniest" in the first half of Season 5.

So what could this mean? There's a possibility that Lucifer Season 5 is going meta in at least one episode. Needless to say, we can't wait to see who will play the fictional "devilish hunk" in the fictional show that sounds a lot like Lucifer.

That's not the only revelation from the report. It was also confirmed that the premiere episode will feature Lucifer investigating a mystery in Hell while Episode 5 is going to be an emotional rollercoaster both for the viewers and the characters. Needless to say, this is going to be a great season yet again for the series.

The first half (that's eight episodes) of Lucifer Season 5 will premiere on Netflix on August 21. The second half has not yet been given an official release date but could be released in late 2020.
