Created by Tim Miller, Jennifer Miller, Joshua Donen, and David Fincher, Season 2 will be welcoming another animation director, Oscar-nominated Jennifer Yuh Nelson.
Love, Death + Robots had positive feedback for its first season, even scoring a 77% positive rating and a 7.03/10 on Rotten Tomatoes. It also scored a 65/100 in Metacritic. Nick Schager who wrote on The Daily Beast called the series the "Black Mirror for the ADD-addled video game crowd." However, the series also received some negative reviews like being problematic and half-baked.
Love, Death + Robots got various accolades winning the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards under the categories of Outstanding Short Form Animated Program for its episode The Witness and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for The Witness, Good Hunting, and Sucker of Souls. Its episode Helping Hand also won the Best Animation in the British Academy Scotland Awards. Four of its episodes also won in various categories in the Annie Awards.
Love, Death + Robots is pushing through with its second season on Netflix this month with eight episodes lined up. The trailer of the series issues warnings on the series with "consume responsibly" and "best micro-dosed."
