Lord of the Rings Stuntwoman Needs Brain Surgery After Accident

UPDATE: Sources reached out to Epicstream.com. According to the people who knew the incident, the surgery Grant needs is not the result of her work on the set of The Lord of the Rings series.

Dayna Grant is a stuntwoman who has previously worked on Wonder Woman 1984, Ash vs Evil Dead, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

It was revealed that she had an 8mm Aneurysm and upper spinal (neck) injuries that require immediate surgery.

A fundraiser has since been started in an effort to help Grant get the surgery she needs. You can help out here.

In an incident in The Lord of the Rings set back in February, Elissa Cadwell was injured during rehearsals when she fell into a diving tank and sustained a head injury. Cadwell, who played Nitara in Mortal Kombat, is reportedly still recovering from the injury.

Action sequences are always dangerous for most stunt people and sustaining injuries is a common issue. Some of the injuries can be simple, but they can also be too dangerous for the stuntman and stuntwomen, leading to some life-threatening injuries.

The Lord of the Rings series has not yet been given an official title nor a release date.
