WotC has announced that The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth™ will bring the incredible depth of the world created by J.R.R. Tolkien to life with a full Magic set release, and it'll be released in 2023. The plan to release a The Lord of the Rings-themed Magic set was originally announced last year, but now we finally have an official title and release window.

"The characters you know will immerse you in Middle-earth as you battle for The One Ring, scheme with Saruman, or journey to the heights of Mount Doom," Wizards said.

The Lord of the Rings-themed set will be coming to tabletop, Magic Online, and MTG Arena as well as four Commander decks and special Secret Lair drops—this set will be available everywhere you play.

The Lord of the Rings is not the only popular IP getting the Universes Beyond treatment. Wizards also confirmed that both Street Fighter and Fortnite will be featured in new Secret Lair products. Warhammer 20,000 will also have a cross-over with four new Commander decks. These new products will be released in 2022.
