In just a few weeks, the highly-anticipated second season of Loki is set to arrive and fans have been looking forward to seeing what's next for the God of Mischief's multiversal adventure following the cliffhanger of the first season finale.

As teased by the trailers and TV spot that they released so far, it looks like the entire gang from the first season will be back alongside new additions to the cast such as Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan, who will appear as TVA agent OB.

In the entire picture of the MCU, there are a lot of stakes towards its quality that will hopefully be on par with the first season following the polarizing reactions to the previous series Secret Invasion which aired last summer.

Now, as we're heading closer to its release, it looks like the second season's scheduled arrival on Disney+ has experienced a time slip as it is now set to premiere on a new date and time.

Marvel Studios has announced that the second season of Loki will now premiere on Thursday, October 5 at 6 p.m. PT on Disney+.

The new season was previously scheduled to premiere at midnight on October 6. With this release pattern, new episodes will now be premiering every Thursday night instead of the usual midnight release that previous MCU shows have done.

The series will follow Ahsoka's current release pattern where they premiere new episodes every Tuesday night ever since it aired its first episode last month and it was the first time that a Disney+ original series didn't drop a new episode at midnight.

It looks like Disney+ decided to make the change after they saw the results of Ahsoka's release pattern and it prompted them to give the same treatment for the second season of Loki with the hope that it will garner the same success.

With this new release schedule, they are also trying to replicate the experience of traditional TV viewing where new episodes usually drop in the evening and fans won't need to wake up until midnight if they want to see the new episode immediately.

It is interesting to see whether this new pattern for the upcoming season will be a success since it will be the first time for an MCU series to do this type of release as Marvel Studios is now in its third year of releasing TV shows.

The first season of Loki is available to stream on Disney+.
