Loki Season 2 Adds Game of Thrones Actress Kate Dickie in Villainous Role

Following the success of its first season last year, production for the next installment of Loki was underway a while ago. As usual, most of the key plot details regarding the God of Mischief's next adventure are being kept under wraps at the moment, but the main cast is expected to return.

Deadline has confirmed that Game of Thrones actress Kate Dickie is joining the cast of the second season of Loki. The details regarding the role that she is playing in the series are being kept under wraps, but her character is described as a villain. Production for the second season already wrapped recently.

The returning cast members include Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Eugene Cordero, and Sophia Di Martino. Ke Huy Quan and Rafael Casal are new additions to the cast for the season. Eric Martin serves as the head writer.

Dickie is known for playing Lysa Arryn in Game of Thrones. She also appeared in TV shows such as Peaky Blinders and The Alienist. She had roles in films such as The Witch, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, The Green Knight, and The Northman.

It is always exciting whenever a talented actor gets cast in a major MCU project. It is hard to tell right now what kind of role will Dickie play in the series, but it is intriguing that she might be playing the villain of the season which alone is a clue on what we can expect from her role.

Hiddleston teased the next installment during his appearance at D23 back in September. "Loki is back at the TVA, he’s had a very difficult confrontation with Sylvie, and Mobius and Hunter B-15 don’t know who he is," he said. Kevin Feige also hinted that it will be connected to the larger Multiverse Saga.
