The last two years have been pretty eventful for Elizabeth Olsen who helped usher in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with WandaVision before capping it off with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The Scarlet Witch actress' current MCU status remains uncertain but many within the fandom believe that she's not done with the billion-dollar franchise.

However, it is believed that Elizabeth will be taking a long hiatus from doing Marvel stuff to shift her focus to other acting opportunities, specifically to return to her indie roots and that is something she's apparently been frustrated with for quite some time now. Interestingly, a new rumor insists that's not the case and we'll see the return of the Harbinger of Chaos as early as next year.

According to a new scoop from Derek Cornell of The DisInsider, Olsen is set to appear in one episode of Kathryn Hahn's Agatha: Coven of Chaos in a significant role as well as Paul Bettany's Vision Quest, although that one has not been set in stone. On top of that, the 33-year-old actress is also rumored to make appearances in Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.

Considering Wanda's immense popularity with fans, Marvel Studios would be foolish to let go of Olsen that easily because clearly, Scarlet Witch is one of those characters with a rich comic book history. It can't be denied though that the actress deserves a break from the MCU, especially after she proved herself to be one of the MVPs of Phase 4, if not the MVP of the Multiverse Saga as a whole.

WandaVision and Doctor Stange in the Multiverse of Madness are available to stream on Disney+.
