Loki Episode 5: Frog Thor Longer Deleted Scene Revealed

There is little doubt that the Loki Variants were the highlight of the latest episode of Loki. However, there was another Variant who made an appearance in Journey Into Mystery.

Amazingly, it looks like Frog Thor was supposed to have a longer scene in the Marvel Cinematic Universe series and it would have brought him into an epic showdown with the God of Mischief.

In Loki Episode 5, we only had a tiny glimpse at little Throg. As the Variants made their way towards their lair, there is a shot of an abandoned Mjolnir along with a caped frog in a jar.

Interestingly, producer Eric Martin has revealed that they had actually filmed a longer sequence featuring Frog Thor that would have appeared in the premiere episode. Additionally, it would have been an awesome fight sequence against Loki himself.

"Comic fans will notice the Frog of Thunder in that jar. We actually shot a scene for the Time Theater in Ep 1 of Loki getting pummeled by Frog Thor but had to cut it to keep things moving. It's too bad because Tom was funny as hell," Martin tweeted. He then added the hashtag #LokiMidnightTheater.

Well, that certainly sounds like a fun scene to film. It would have been amazing to see Throg in action as he goes up against Loki. Hopefully, we'll still get to see the deleted scene if a special feature about Loki is released sometime in the future.

Loki Episode 5 is now streaming on Disney+.
