Loki Episode 2: Who is Sylvie Lushton and How is She Connected to the God of Mischief?

The following contains SPOILERS from Loki Episode 2 so proceed with caution.

The latest episode of Loki Episode 2 certainly has people talking, thanks to the new character who was introduced in The Variant. But who is Sylvie Lushton and what is her connection to the God of Mischief?

In Loki Episode 2, it was revealed that the fugitive Variant is actually a female version of the God of Mischief. Not surprisingly, fans celebrated the debut of Lady Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. On the other hand, the character isn't who most people believe she is.

"Lady Loki" was quick to point out that she didn't want to be referred to as Loki. This is just one of the many clues confirming that she is, in fact, Sylvie Lushton, the comic book character who becomes the second Enchantress.

Although the character, who is played by Sophia Di Martino, is simply credited as "The Variant". However, the Castellan voice credits list the character down as "Sylvie". Moreover, there is already a young cast member who is credited to play the young Sylvie in the series so we may get to learn about her origin story.

In the comics, Sylvie is just a normal human girl who suddenly wakes up with Loki's powers. It is later revealed that it was the God of Mischief himself who gave the girl her new powers that are similar to Amora, the original Enchantress.

It is still unclear whether the MCU will change Sylvie's origin story but there is little doubt that she will have a major connection to Loki. Hopefully, we'll get to learn more about her in the next episode.

Loki Episode 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
