Loki Actor Tom Hiddleston Becomes The Joker in Stunning Image

Just when you thought Tom Hiddleston's Marvel Cinematic Universe journey was over, his iconic character the God of Mischief is set for a fresh start in the franchise via the upcoming Disney+ series Loki and the show's first official trailer which debuted last December left us with a ton of questions surrounding the character's new role in the MCU.

But what if Hiddleston's stint in the MCU truly ended following Loki's death in Avengers: Infinity War? Here's an even more intriguing question: what if Hiddleston jumped ship to the DC universe to play another iconic comic book villain?

Digital artist Jaxson Derr is toying with the idea of Tom moving over to the DC film franchise to star in Matt Reeves' The Batman as the one and only Clown Prince of Crime The Joker opposite Robert Pattinson who's playing a different iteration of the caped crusader. Making use of a still from the Loki trailer, the artist tweaked the colors of Loki's suit to make him more Joker-ish.

I'm not gonna lie, this one looks pretty darn good and now that I think about it, Hiddleston as The Joker could be a good idea. See the artwork for yourself below:

However, don't expect Tom to turn up elsewhere (get it?) anytime soon as it's crystal clear that Marvel Studios still has plans for Thor's adopted brother who just can't seem to die in the franchise. Hiddleston's latest outing as the condescending and conniving Loki is pretty interesting too as he's set to play a different Loki from an entirely different timeline. What could that mean for the current MCU canon?

Loki hits Disney+ this May.
