Looks like James Mangold is taking a leaf out of George Miller's book, and is working on a black and white cut for Logan. After all the black and white images that were used to promote the movie, you would think that the option was available at some point down the line.
Mangold was asked on Twitter by a fan if there would be a black and white version of Logan, to which the director simply answered, "Workin' on it." Black and white just brings a different vibe to movies, and with the personal story that Logan was trying to tell, I think the lack of colors would bring some true grit to the movie.
George Miller pulled off the same thing with his release of the "Chrome Edition" of Mad Max: Fury Road last year, and some people loved how the black and white was able to make the film look a lot more grimy and bleak.
I think black and white would look absolutely perfect for Logan — save for the last part — but the rest of the movie? It would look absolutely cool.
James Mangold's Logan is currently showing in theaters.
