Locke and Key is Crossing Over With Neil Gaiman's Sandman

Locke and Key is on top of the world right now, thanks to the Netflix series gaining some popularity, even though a number of people prefer the comic book. Still, it does have a number of qualities and we're interested to see what's next. Seems like DC Comics is also interested in the property as the publisher has teamed up with IDW to announce a crossover between Locke and Key, and Neil Gaiman's Sandman.

All we know is that the comic is called Locke and Key: Hell and Gone - A Sandman Universe Event. The crossover comic will be coming out this October so fans are in for quite the wait but they will be happy to know that original Locke and Key creators Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez will be making the comic. They're a great team and, at the least, this will be a gorgeous comic book.

It's going to be hard guessing the central premise behind this, though we can assume that Dream will somehow get involved with the Locke family, due to some of them being able to open their heads (literally) and welcome other people to their reality. This does blur the line between reality and dreaming so seeing Dream or anyone else get involved should be a treat, at the very least.

Locke and Key: Hell and Gone - A Sandman Universe Event is coming out this October. The Locke and Key series can currently be streamed on Netflix.
