Live-Action Dresden Files Peace Talks Trailer Gets A Premiere Date & Teaser

Fans are already hyped for Jim Butcher's upcoming Dresden Files book Peace Talks, but before the new novel comes out this July, there's a live-action book trailer that will make fans even more hyped first, and Jim-Butcher.com has announced the premiere date for it. They also revealed a sneak peek at some of the story boards for the live-action trailer.

The live-action Peace Talks trailer will premiere at the 20th Anniversary fan party at Emerald City Comic Con on Thursday, March 12. Although tickets to the party are already sold out, the EMCC attendees will be able to watch it again at a Q&A with Jim Butcher and director Priscilla Spencer on Sunday, March 15.

However, if you can't attend ECCC, the trailer will hit online the following week, but no exact date has been announced yet. The filming for the live-action trailer wrapped up in Los Angeles last December.

Jim-Butcher.com also revealed the storyboards for the live-action trailer, which were illustrated by Megan Lloyd, a storyboard artist for Dreamworks TV (Hamilton, Wicked). You can check out the full images on the website.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like Harry Dresden is in big trouble based on these storyboards, but we still don't know who the other characters featured here are. Who do you think they are? And what do you think is happening? Let us know in the comments section below.

Here's what the Butcher previously said about Peace Talks:

"A summit of the world's supernatural powers is being held to try to establish some sort of equilibrium and to get everything settled down in the wake of the vanishing of the red court. And I'm pretty sure everyone's going to sit down and have a nice cup of tea, there'll be a talk, and walk away holding hands."

Peace Talks will hit shelves on July 14, 2020. It's now available for pre-order on Amazon. This will be the first new Dresden Files novel since 2014's Skin Game.

Jim Butcher is planning to write Book #2 of his steampunk Cinder Spires series after he completes Peace Talks. It will be called The Olympian Affair.
