Disney has released the first official trailer for Beauty and the Beast. There's new footage that shows more of Emma Watson as Belle, who was previously revealed to be the inventor in her family. It was also revealed that she won't be wearing a corset under the iconic yellow gown. The trailer includes footage of Belle entering the castle to find her father and meets Beast (played by Dan Stevens) for the first time. Overall, the film does a great job at adapting Disney's classic animated film, and I think Watson is perfect for the role. Watch the trailer below:
The film is directed by Bill Gordon, and also stars Kevin Kline as Belle’s father, Maurice; Ewan McGregor as Lumière; Ian McKellen as Cogsworth; Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts; Luke Evans as Gaston; Josh Gad as Le Fou; and more.
Beauty and the Beast will be released in theaters on March 17.
