The Glory fans and viewers were delighted after agencies confirmed that Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun are indeed dating.
It comes after Korean news outlet Dispatch revealed paparazzi shots of the duo where they were spotted on multiple occasions.
Lim Ji Yeon and Lee Do Hyun’s Relationship Blossomed Thanks to The Glory
While some thought that it might be another April fool’s news since the outlet revealed the dating rumor on April 1, some of the sources said that Lee Do Hyun and Lim Ji Yeon’s relationship blossomed due to the closeness of The Glory cast.
“The teamwork of 'The Glory' team is excellent. They often had group dinners. That must have been how their relationship bloomed,” an affiliate mentioned, as cited by AllKpop.
Shortly after the photos were released, Lee Do Hyun and Lim Ji Yeon’s respective agencies made a statement regarding the dating news.
The actress’ Artist Company shared that The Glory stars “have gone from being close sunbae-hoobaes to a stage where they are carefully getting to know each other with good feelings.”
The same goes for the South Korean heartthrob label Yuehua Entertainment which said that the two developed feelings due to their closeness in The Glory.
Following the confirmation of two agencies, others noticed the timing of the announcement.
Lim Ji Yeon’s Dating News Announcement Related to Her End of Contract With Artist Company?
According to a media outlet, an online post sparked discussion after an uploader raised speculation about the timing of Lim Ji Yeon’s relationship announcement with Lee Do Hyun.
As mentioned in a report, the post includes a screenshot of a news article about the actress’ exclusive contract with Artist Company, which is about to expire in May 2023.

The post pointed out how the dating news was released just in time when she is about to end her contract with her current label.
“There are so many instances like this in the entertainment world,” the post says.
In addition, the uploader also says that there is a possibility that the dating rumor was released by Lim Ji Yeon's own agency– and that is “to pressure the actress to renew her contract” with Artist Company.
It is still unknown if the actress will renew her contract with her current agency or become a free agent (FA) or transfer to another label.
As for Lim Ji Yeon’s relationship status with Lee Do Hyun, fans and viewers are wishing all the best for the new couple.
