Life-Size Shazam! Statue Literally Charges Phones

One of the funniest gags from the Shazam! trailers is Billy Batson walking around charging phones with his powers, and now director David F. Sandberg has shared this fantastic statue of Shazam that literally charges phones.

Check it out:

Besides the amazing detail, the statue also does different things when you plug your phone in. Besides having the shield light up on the chest, the finger also lights up, mimicking the scene where he's charging phones in the trailer.

We don't know if there's going to be one of these in every theater screening, but it would be cool to have one in your local theater. Either way, I think it can still work with just a cardboard cutout.

Shazam! is looking to be another hit for the DCEU. Early reactions have been positive, and the trailer have been looking amazing. Though I do kind of miss the darker vibes that the early DCEU films were going for, I'm excited to see a movie that's being fun on purpose. Sure Justice League had its jokes, but they were barely part of the original plan by Zack Snyder.

Billy Batson is a streetwise 14-year-old who can magically transform into the adult superhero Shazam simply by shouting out one word. His newfound powers soon get put to the test when he squares off against the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana.

Catch Shazam! in theaters April 5.
