Lex Luthor Rumored To Help Revive Superman In Justice League

Building a cinematic universe can be quite a challenge, forcing studios to create films that help set-up the other incoming installments in the franchise.

Now, as Justice League approaches its release, rumors have started to spread word that the DC Extended Universe installment just might help set up Warner Bros.' Man of Steel 2. There's been a lot of talk going on about Justice League with speculation going on about how much of the film's been changed by Joss Whedon's reshoots and whether Lex Luthor's (Jesse Eisenberg) was really cut from the superhero movie.

Having enough of all the talk surrounding the upcoming superhero mash-up, a person involved with the production of Justice League has allegedly taken to 4chan to clear up a few things about the upcoming DCEU installment.

According to the post, not only is Jesse Eisenberg staying as the DCEU's Lex Luthor, but it seems like he might even be responsible in helping bring back Superman. Here's what's written in the post:

"Lex is still in the movie, gets out of Arkham for being rehabilitated, keeps the bald head drops the ticks, says he was forced to do it, batman and wonder woman finds him and forces him to help him, gives BM and WW a tip that the Scout ship says Superman can be brought back to life, a regeneration chamber, but he doesn't know how long it will take. Batman then threatens him and they leave, Lex opens plans for his Warsuit and Bizzaro. It's not really a long scene and it's mostly for MoS2 setup"

Lex helping revive The Man of Steel certainly sounds interesting. Lex is Superman's biggest nemesis, and it's a wonder why he'd even think of reviving the superhero. Is it for the benefit of the planet? Somehow it sounds like Lex has another plan in mind.

Justice League premieres November 17, 2017.
