One of the best things about Star Trek: Picard has been the return of several beloved characters. Fans were delighted to see Data, Will Riker, Deanna Troi, and Seven of Nine playing important roles in the new series. But is it possible that we'll see Geordi La Forge in the second season? LeVar Burton has just teased on the possibility that we'll see the Star Trek: The Next Generation character in the near future.
Burton recently spoke to ET Live where he was asked whether La Forge will show up in Star Trek: Picard Season 2 (via Comicbook.com). Interestingly, the actor was initially coy about his return but eventually stated that it's something Trekkies can look forward to.
"I think it is reasonable to assume that those people are still a part of Picard's life," Burton said before adding, "Sure, what the hell? Yeah! Absolutely."
So does this mean we'll be seeing the crew of Enterprise all together in the second season of Picard? Burton stated that although it seems impossible, he's open to the idea.
"You will see us all. Probably not all at the same time, although, never say never," he said.
It's an awesome possibility that we're loving right now. After all, we already know that Burton has been on the set of Picard where he was reunited with Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, and Michael Dorn. The images were shared by Star Trek actress Isa Briones and definitely had people excited about the possible appearances of La Forge and Dorn's Worf.
