Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Release Date Accidentally Leaked

It looks like someone jumped the gun when it comes to the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga release date since a video revealing the title's coming out party has now been listed as private. The video revealed that this new entry in the Lego Star Wars game would be coming out on October 20 but it seems like Disney, LucasFilm, and TT Games were not ready to share that date.

This is pretty common when it comes to big video games since a number of titles from the past have had their information shared too early. It wasn't that long ago when some Street Fighter V DLC was accidentally shown by Steam when the video was supposed to be shown during one of Capcom's fighting game tournaments. Ubisoft has also had bad luck with leaks since plenty of their Assassin's Creed titles get leaked days, sometimes months, before they are revealed.

Leaks for video games and their release dates are nothing new, unfortunately, even the ones that aren't done by hackers or curious google searchers. In the case of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it's clear that someone from Disney or LucasFilm was responsible for this and we're sure they are apologetic over what happened.

Admittedly, we're all pretty excited about this new Lego Star Wars game. Aside from covering all nine mainline movies in this franchise, we're also looking forward to the new camera system and combat, which have supposedly been revamped, hence the long development cycle. It's good to see some major changes in this long-running, sometimes rotting, game franchise.

If the leak is true, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is coming out on October 20.
