LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Video Game Announced With Trailer

In a blocky galaxy far, far away, LEGO and Star Wars are building something fun.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is in the works after teasing a "massive announcement" that "included two of the world's most popular entertainment brands." The game will be developed TT Games, the same developers that brought some of the most best LEGO videogames like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.

The announcement also came with a trailer, which pretty much copies the first The Force Awakens teaser but of course, with some awesome LEGO bits added to it. You can watch it below:

Some fans saw the announcement after a product page went live on the Xbox Games Store and a trailer was leaked.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will play through the main plots of The Force Awakens, and it will also include story content between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens. Players will be able to use cool new gameplay mechanics to build, battle, and fly throughout the game, and according to a press release, it promises to take players "deeper into the new film than any other game."

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PS Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Nintendo 3DS, and PC on June 28, 2016.
