Lego Star Wars Battles Mobile Game Announced for 2020 Release

While fans are looking forward to Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, it seems like LucasFilm isn't done with the new games. We are now getting a new mobile game in Lego Star Wars Battles, which is set for a 2020 release on iOS and Android devices. There are a lot of Star Wars mobile games but this one could be really interesting, thanks to its mishmash of genres.

According to Star Wars.com, the mobile game will combine competitive battling, character building, and even tower defense. These are all popular mobile game genres and this is an interesting mishmash of them, though it will probably be a free-to-play title that might feed on in-app purchases. We'll have to wait and see but this could be a good mobile game.

Lego Star Wars Battles will let players battle in a number of iconic battles from the franchise. The tropical planet of Scarif will be playable and has never appeared in another Lego Star Wars game before. There will also be exclusive content from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, like Rey and Kylo Ren's exclusive attires.

Personally, I don't care much for mobile games and am more excited for the console game Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, this is still pretty cool. Mobile games have a ton of appeal and there's a good chance that this will do well.

Lego Star Wars Battles will be coming to iOS and Android in 2020.
