Just like Season 2's epic debut episode, Chapter 10 of The Mandalorian was once again home to several treats and easter eggs only diehard fans of the Star Wars saga were able to notice. The second episode, titled "The Passenger" marks the return of a fan-favorite vehicle and you'll never guess the folks who are piloting their respective cockpits.

The X-Wings make their astonishing comeback in the show, after having appeared briefly in the first season. This time around, fans are treated to an extensive look at the iconic Star Wars fighting vehicles and we were also introduced to two new Rebel Alliance pilots in Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva and director Dave Filoni as Trapper Wolf who helped Mando fend off the icy Knobby White Spider during the episode's climax. The said creature, which was originally supposed to appear in The Empire Strikes Back is also making its first live-action appearance.

Avid fans of the franchise collectively had a giant nerdgasm after spotting the legendary Star Wars personality who is pretty much responsible for some of our favorite spinoff cartoons like The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels. Check out some of the reactions they posted on Twitter below:

Again, The Mandalorian never fails to deliver some much-needed fan service to its viewers and it's been the theme, so it seems since the first season. Of course, Filoni's cameo didn't really do much for the specific episode but it's still a nice touch and who knows, he could once again turn up in future episodes. It's a major win for all of us.

The Mandalorian Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
