Lee Sung Kyung is set to return to the small screen with the new rom-com series Shooting Stars.
Fans would get to see the 31-year-old actress teamed up with another K-drama heartthrob Kim Young Dae as they portray characters behind the glitz and glam of the entertainment industry.
The upcoming tvN series is her K-drama comeback after starring in the medical series Dr. Romantic 2 with Ahn Hyo Seop and Han Seok Kyu.
From the antagonist in the 2016 series Doctors to her claim to fame role as the budding athlete in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Lee Sung Kyu’s new drama will showcase her diversity as an actress.
Shooting Stars Cast and Synopsis
Helmed by Find Me In You Memory and Awaken director Lee Soo Hyun, the upcoming rom-com series follows the story of people working behind the media, making sure that the viewers see perfection on screen.
Shooting Stars covers the realistic story of those who work for PR agencies, media and more.
Lee Sung Kyung plays the PR team leader Oh Han Byul who is known for her exceptional skills in solving a crisis.
One of their clients is the poster boy Gong Tae Sung played by Kim Young Dae. he earned the love and support of fans due to his charm and perfect image.
In the drama, fans would get to see the duo’s love-hate relationship or a possible budding romance.
Yoon Jong Hoon, who worked with Kim Young Dae in The Penthouse, took on the role of Management Team 1 head and Han Byul’s mentor while Kim Yoon Hye portrays a former bodyguard turned celebrity manager.
Completing the Shooting Star cast are Girl’s Day’s Sojin, CNBLUE’s Lee Jung Shin, Kim Dae Gon, Ha Do Kwon, Jang Hui Ryoung, N.Flying’s Lee Seung Hyun, Shin Hyun Seung, Lee Si Woo, Jung Ji Ahn, Jin Ho Eun, Yoon Sang Jung, Kwon Han Sol, and more.
Apart from the said stars, Hallyu queen Choi Ji Woo will also make a cameo appearance, playing the role of superstar Eun Si Woo.

Shooting Star Release Date
Since the start of March, tvN has been teasing fans with exciting still cuts and trailers featuring the lead stars, giving them a glimpse of Lee Sung Kyung’s new drama.
The broadcast network announced that Shooting Star will officially premiere on April 22 and will be the newest Friday and Saturday K-drama.
