Lee Su Jeong is coming back to the stage as a soloist.
On Tuesday, Lee Su Jeong formally unveiled her first solo EP, My Name. The album’s songs notably have a different vibe compared to Lovelyz’s hit songs. Still, many fans wonder whether she followed the girl group’s moon theme, as one of her songs, A Piece of Moon, seemingly follows Lovelyz’s Moonlight.
The K-pop idol has since clarified that the moon theme fit the mood of the tune and said that it was not her intention at all.
Aside from talking about her new project, she also shared details about her private life in a recent interview.

Lee Su Jeong Discloses How She Spends Her Everyday Life
The Korea Times recently shared its interview with Lee Su Jeong. During the 40-minute discussion, the K-pop idol also shared several things about her private life.
Per the K-pop idol, she often binge-watches YouTube channels’ videos and hangs out with her friends.
"Since I am this type of person, I had trouble adjusting to the bustling K-pop life in the beginning, but as time went by, I learned ways to get used to it," she said. "But still, working out and honing my performing skills are the only things that I do when I am free."
Now that she opts to promote as a soloist, she now has more freedom to connect her private and idol lives together.

Still, she ensures that she would still feel the comfort once she starts promoting by not pressuring herself to top music streaming charts and shows.
Lee Su Jeong recalled how, as the leader of Lovelyz, she always aimed to have a high rank. After focusing on herself, she realized that being in the top spot is meaningless. Instead, she reportedly wants to try her best and stay carefree.
At the end of the interview, she hyped fans by announcing her upcoming 16-date concerts in Seoul and abroad. Lee Su Jeong did not share further details about it.
Why Did Lovelyz Disband?
Although Lee Su Jeong and her former co-members are happy now, talks about the reason behind Lovelyz’s disbandment remain buzz-worthy.
Reporter-turned-YouTuber Lee Jin Ho shared a video titled, The real reason Lovelyz is disbanding, and explained why the girl group ended up cutting their career as a group. He revealed that the girls initially wanted to renew their contracts a long time ago.
However, Woollim Entertainment reportedly never showed a proactive attitude about the members’ future.
As of press time, Lee Su Jeong and other members of Lovelyz started launching their individual careers under different agencies.
