Following the dispute with his former agency, Hook Entertainment, and ahead of Lee Seung Gi’s upcoming wedding, the award-winning star is facing another difficult situation with his tv show Peak Time.

The Vagabond star is being caught up in an unfavorable situation since the last quarter of 2022.

Unfortunately, it still continues this year as triple threat premiered its newest program, a JTBC idol survival show where he played as the host.


Along with Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Jay Park, Girls’ Generation’s Tifanny, Lee Gi Kwang and more as judges, Peak Time kicks off with low ratings.


Lee Seung Gi’s Peak Time Continues to Decline Its Viewership Rating

According to a media outlet, Nielsen Korea recorded average nationwide ratings of 1.298 percent for the show’s pilot episode.

The idol survival show, which premiered on February 15 receives declining ratings till episode 5.

For its 5th episode, Peak Time’s viewership continues to drop, reaching a nationwide viewership of 0.751 percent.

Interestingly, despite the low ratings, the JTBC show is among the Most Buzzworthy non-drama TV shows for the fourth week of February.

As obtained by Soompi, Peak Time came in at second place with 8.62 percent while Mnet’s Boys Planet got a total of 9.73 points.

Highlight on Lee Seung Gi’s Dispute With Agency to Fans’

The Law Cafe star faced various issues starting with his dispute with his then-agency, Hook Entertainment.

To recall, Lee Seung Gi filed a legal complaint after discovering that his longtime agency did not generate income from his music profits for 18 years since he made his debut.

Regarding this, we filed a legal complaint against Hook Entertainment CEO Kwon Jin Young and the financial directors on the suspicions of a violation of the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes (occupational embezzlement) and (fraud),” the actor’s legal counsel said, as obtained by a media outlet.

With this, he officially left his agency on the same month and transferred to Human Made, the one-man agency that Lee Seung Gi established in 2021.
