Lee Joon Hyuk To Possibly Join Nam Joo Hyuk's New Drama Vigilante

Lee Joon Hyuk is in talks to work alongside Nam Joo Hyuk in the upcoming K-drama Vigilante.

The series will be based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name penned by CRG and illustrated by Kim Kyu Sam.

As the network gears up for the cast lineup and release of the K-drama, Sports Chosun shared that the 38-year-old versatile actor has been courted to headline the series.

Lee Joon Hyuk Teams Up with Nam Joo Hyuk in Vigilante

In an exclusive report, an industry representative confirmed that Lee Joon Hyuk is offered to headline the cast and work alongside the Twenty-Five Twenty-One actor.

"Lee Joon Hyuk will be joining the OTT new drama Vigilante," the official announced.

Meanwhile, following the news about Lee Joon Hyuk's new drama, his agency, Ace Factory, confirmed the reports adding that the actor is positively considering his appearance in the upcoming K-drama.

The upcoming K-drama focuses on the journey of a police rookie who becomes a vigilante and hunts down criminals.

If Lee Joon Hyuk accepts the offer, he will play the role of DK Group vice president Jo Kang Ok. Aside from his position, he is also the designer behind Vigilante.

Jo Kang Ok's vigilante stems from his childhood obsession with superheroes. He sees what reality is like as he grows up, which prompts him to create the Vigilante.

Will Nam Joo Hyuk be Vigilante's Lead Star?

In April 2022, following the success of the coming-of-age K-drama  Twenty-Five Twenty-One, Nam Joo Hyuk was offered to play the lead role in Vigilante.

In a report shared by Soompi, the actor's agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that he is courted to headline the K-drama and is "positively reviewing the offer to star in Vigilante."

According to the outlet, Nam Joo Hyuk's new role will be Ji Yong; a police university student turned vigilante.

He entered the university in hopes of finding his family's enemy and avenging his parents.

Moreover, as part of being a vigilante, Ji Yong follows criminals every weekend and criticizes the law's leniency toward these offenders.

Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung Rumored to Reunite in Vigilante?

Prior to Lee Joon Hyuk's offer, Nam Joo Hyuk's ex-girlfriend and Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo co-star Lee Sung Kyung is also offered to join the cast of Vigilante.

In a report cited by Lovekpop95, a rumor sparked that fans would get to see the duo in one drama after information via Pann claims that the producer also thought about adding the actress to the cast lineup and even sent an invitation to play the role of Choi Mi Ryeo.

If the actress agrees to be part of the K-drama, this will be a reunion project between the duo after the 2016 smash hit series Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.

As of this writing, there is no confirmation from the representatives of Vigilante and Lee Sung Kyung's agency.
