Of the eight characters trapped on Netflix's newest K-Drama series, Lee Joo-Young, also known as Lee Zoo-Young, on The 8 show appears to have an oh-so-familiar face. Where have we seen her before?
2F From Netflix's The 8 Show Seems Familiar...
Korean actor Lee Joo-Young plays the role of the second-floor contestant, who happens to be a trained martial arts fighter taking advantage of her skills to advance in the games on The 8 Show.
Keep in mind that each floor holds meaning in The 8 Show, and considering that the lower floors (including 2F) have the lowest amount of money and resources, they had to work together to revolt against those on the top floors.
Think Squid Game, except that the 'game' in question is limited to eight chosen people participating in the dangerous show to earn their money by the end of it.
Apart from the stunning production and stellar cast of The Night Owl star Ryu Jun-Yeol and Deliver Us From Evil star Park Jeong-Min, Lee Joo-Young is also one of these standouts from the rest of the contestants. Why is that?
Lee Joo-Young is a relatively new actress in the Korean Entertainment scene, however, you may recognize her best from her recent roles such as in Believer 2 and in the 2018 police K-drama, Live. Get to know more about Joo-Young below.

K-Drama Fans Will Recognize Lee Joo-Young
Lee Joo-Young, also known as Lee Zoo-Young is a South Korean actress who first began modeling at Dongduk Women's University but eventually quit when she was just kickstarting her career.
Soon after, she decided to pursue an acting career.
Joo-Young marked her acting debut in Lee Chung-Hyun's 2015 Bargain movie, which was presented at the Busan International Film Festival in 2016 and bagged a Best Film Award at the Mise-en-scene Short Film Festival. And the rest has been history since.
Before The 8 Show, Joo-Young played the main role in two 2017 films: Nose Nose Nose Eyes as Lady Uhm and Girls on Top as Joo-Young. The actor also previously starred in Shades of the Heart, Action Hero, and One Win.
Over time, the actress formed her own values when it comes to acting, and as she previously said, she would have to "face the ugly and stupid side so that you can perform freely and abundantly."
"I think I should find mine without comparing with others or being biased somewhere, and not thinking there is an answer," Joo-Young added.
As for K-dramas, The 8 Show marks her first main role on a Netflix series, a different side to the actress that we've never seen from her before.
