Laurence Fishburne Hopes He Could Play The MCU’s Galactus Someday

Laurence Fishburne might already be playing Bill Foster in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but it looks like The Matrix star is hoping that he can take on another giant-sized role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Earlier this week at the red carpet of Ant-Man and the Wasp's global premiere at Los Angeles, Fishburne was asked by Marvel Entertainment correspondents which Marvel Comics character he'd like to be in real life.

Though he wasn't really interested in becoming a comic book character in real life, Fishburne did express interest in a certain role, saying that if he was ever given the chance to play a villain, he'd want to become Marvel's Galactus.

"Well, you know this is not my first time in the MCU: I was actually the voice of the Silver Surfer. And if they ever go back to that again - if it was a villain - I would love to do Galactus."

Galactus the devourer of worlds might not be part of the MCU just yet, but with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn working on the Marvel Cosmic Universe, who knows, maybe Galactus might come around. After all, the MCU's going to need a big, big bad once Avengers 4 puts Thanos' story to an end.

Right now though, while we finish Phase 3 of the MCU, Fishburne has to stay as Foster, Hank Pym's (Michael Douglas) former assistant who worked on "Project Goliath." It isn't a bad role, but Galactus would definitely be bigger.

Ant-Man and the Wasp premieres July 6, 2018.
