Latest Final Fantasy XV Update Adds Final Fantasy XIV Collaboration, New Costumes, and Boss Fight

Square Enix's support of Final Fantasy XV is going to end soon but fans can take solace in the fact that they will have one more unique collaboration event to play through before Episode: Ardyn comes out in March, which will be the final DLC piece coming to the game. After crossing over with Assassin's Creed of all things, the action-RPG will now have a collaboration with Final Fantasy XIV.

After downloading the latest update (which is available now), players will be able to check out a new in-game quest called "Adventurer from Another World," which has Noctis and friends help out a character from the XIV universe. This quest will conclude with a fierce battle against Final Fantasy XIV's Garuda and will result in new costumes for Noctis and his party, which is a nice little bonus.

This is pretty cool stuff to have for a free update, something that fans of the title can appreciate. While the game has received a lot of criticism for getting constant updates, at least it resulted in a more complete experience with a few bonuses. Previous updates made the other party members playable and added a better vehicle for transportation, along with a few new cutscenes that make the story flow better.

Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy XIV are available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. XV will stop getting support after March 2019 while XIV is getting another expansion soon.
