Fans are already excited about Monica Rambeau being a part of The Marvels next year. But will another Rambeau show up in the Captain Marvel sequel? No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch has just teased Maria Rambeau's possible return in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe flick.

It's no secret that Maria Rambeau is one of the most important figures in the MCU. She is Carol Danvers' best friend and most trusted ally who helped the Skrulls in Captain Marvel. Although she survived in the movie, it has been revealed in WandaVision that Maria has died after the events in Avengers: Infinity War.

But is it possible that Maria will be back in Captain Marvel 2? Lynch is open the idea of reprising her role as the Air Force pilot in the highly anticipated MCU sequel but claims she hasn't received a call about it yet.

"You'll have to ask Kevin Feige that," Lynch said about Maria's return in The Marvels. "In fact, I should ask Kevin Feige that."

She then offered some hope for fans who are looking forward to Maria's reunion with Carol in Captain Marvel 2. "You never know. Weirder things have happened in the franchise," Lynch said. "I had a wonderful time on the first one and it would be great to have a wonderful time on another one."

It's not hard to imagine how Maria could be brought back in the sequel. Lynch could always appear in a flashback sequence for Monica or Carol as they look back at Maria's bravery. With that in mind, we're hoping Lynch gets the call from Marvel soon.

Lynch plays the new 007 in No Time To Die, which will premiere on October 8, 2021. The Marvels is currently in production and is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022.
