We were promised some gameplay footage, and boy did we get it! Aside from the minutes of leaked gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront II, we also get this sleek gameplay trailer which focuses on several eras in the Star Wars universe.
Like promised, we're coming back to the prequel era, and the new trailer has clone troopers trying to reclaim Theed from the droids. I don't know if this mission will be part of the campaign, but if all this is canon somehow, I'm guessing the clones are trying to stop an attack on the Naboo palace. I'm still trying to figure out how exactly they're planning to explain Yoda fighting Darth Maul. Guess it's not really part of the story.
I never even knew I wanted it, but am I happy that we get to ride on Naboo starfighters in the game as well. Despite getting a lot of backlash from the fans, I thought that the backdrops of the prequels were all very visually stunning, and Naboo is probably one of the more memorable locations in movies.
DICE looks to be righting several wrongs with Battlefront II, and a lot of fans are very pleased with what they've been seeing so far. Besides the fact that we finally have a campaign to go along with the amazing graphics and sounds, Battlefront II also promises to have all DLC free, and access to all available content thanks to in-game grinding.
Star Wars Battlefront II comes out Nov. 17.
