Kylo Ren and More Appear in Trailer for Second and Final Season of Star Wars Resistance

The first season of Star Wars Resistance had ended with the Colossus jetting off into space. While some thought this would build up to some more adventures down the line, it looks like everything is going to come to an end with Season 2.

Here's the official description:

The Emmy Award-nominated series Star Wars Resistance returns for its second and final season beginning Sunday, October 6 at 10:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and in DisneyNOW, with subsequent airings on Disney XD. The concluding season takes place during the events of "The Last Jedi" leading up to "The Rise of Skywalker," as Kaz and the team continue to fight against the threat of the First Order, culminating in an epic series finale.

While Kylo Ren may be the most recognizable face in the new trailer, we also have some hints at the movies that have come before. We have a look at some red hyperfuel (the one we saw in Solo was blue), and it looks like the series is going to make use of Sidon Ithano/Crimso Corsair who had a small role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

With Star Wars Rebels ending after four seasons, some fans are bummed out that Resistance is only going to have two. The again, it could have been the plan from the start, seeing as The Rise of Skywalker is set to end the sequel trilogy. I guess it would be weird to have that story end and have the Resistance storyline keep going. Hopefully Kaz and his friends get some kind of cameo or shoutout in TROS. Even Rebels got a shoutout for Hera and cameo for Chopper in Rogue One.

Star Wars Resistance returns to Disney Channel on Oct. 6.
