One of the Rise of Skywalker trailers have teased a moment where Kylo Ren and Rey destroy a podium holding what looks like Vader's burnt helmet, and though fans have been speculating about it for a while, a new poster for the film has confirmed that it was indeed Vader's helmet that was ruined during the duel.
Check out this officially shared poster:
It's still unclear whether Rey and Kylo destroy it together, or whether it was just collateral damage, but it's indeed an interesting image. When you look at it, the podium even kind of resembles Vader's body, so in a way, it's a visual metaphor for the destruction of Vader.
For now, we don't know where Kylo's head is, but it must be under some kind of pressure seeing as he's the new Supreme Leader of the First Order. Adam Driver himself has said that Kylo doesn't see himself as needing redemption, and it's great to see what kind of clash that will lead to when it comes to Rey who had given up on Ben Solo's redemption by the end of The Last Jedi.
As it stands, it looks like fans are starting to be more careful online as the release of The Rise of Skywalker draws nearer. Keep in mind there are actual spoilers out there, so you better be careful what links you click on or which subreddits you follow.
